Welcome to Renfrewshire Community Transport!

At Renfrewshire Community Transport, we are dedicated to developing reliable and accessible transport services for the residents of Renfrewshire. As a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), our mission is to offer relief to those in need due to age, health, or poverty through our not-for-profit community transport service.

We are a start-up, charity and social enterprise, which means our ideas are in early development!

Our Core Purposes

Providing Relief: We offer transport services to individuals who face challenges due to age, health, or financial constraints. This ensures they can access essential services and maintain their independence.

Advancing Education: We are committed to providing training and information related to community transport. This helps to educate and empower our community.

Promoting Community Development: Through volunteering opportunities, we foster a sense of citizenship and community spirit. This encourages active participation and development within Renfrewshire.

Our Values

We operate in a manner consistent with the ethos and principles of the co-operative model. Our services are inclusive, community-focused, and sustainable. Our members and charity trustees work collaboratively to manage and oversee our activities. This ensures transparency and accountability in all we do.

Our Structure

Renfrewshire Community Transport is structured to maximise community involvement and effective governance:

  • Board of Charity Trustees: Our board, composed of dedicated volunteers, holds regular meetings to control and monitor the organisation’s activities and financial health.
  • Members: Our members have the right to participate in meetings, elect board members, and shape the organisation’s approach to working in Renfrewshire.
